Year-round dog beach. Dogs are welcome off leash on the sand at all times of the year. The September 2025 foreshore map says: “Dogs are welcome off-leash on sand at all times of the year.”
Put the leash back on before you leave the sand. From 1 April to 31 October, Council says dogs are allowed on the sand. Those rules are published on the dog off-leash map, and a dog must be put back on a leash before it leaves the sand. This tool shows that winter period as off leash. Greyhounds must stay on a leash everywhere, including off-leash sand. Paths and boardwalks are on leash. Keep dogs 5 metres from playgrounds, barbecues and exercise equipment.
