Hobsons Bay restricts dogs on two signed swimming beaches from 10am to 9:30pm between 1 November and 30 April, seven days a week. At all other times on those stretches, dogs must be on a leash. Altona Dog Beach, by PA Burns Reserve, is a separate all-year off-leash beach.
