From the cliffs to the southern end of the surf life saving club, dogs are prohibited from 10am to 8pm while daylight saving operates, and off leash outside those hours.

Port Noarlunga Beach between the most northern point bounded by the cliffs and the southern end of the Port Noarlunga Surf Life Saving Club rooms is prohibited from 10am to 8pm on any day when daylight saving is in force. Outside those hours the by-law note allows off leash under effective control. During standard time the prohibition is not in force, so the beach is off leash under effective control.
- Daylight saving: no dogs 10:00am to 8:00pm
- 10:00am–8:00pm: no dogs. Outside those times: off leash.
- Standard time: off leash all day
- All day: off leash. Outside those times: off leash.
Port Noarlunga Beach, the portion of the Port Noarlunga Beach that is situated between the most northern point of the beach that is bounded by the cliffs at one end and continues south to the southern end of the Port Noarlunga Surf Life Saving Club rooms.

- Hooded plover signs are a place rule: dogs are prohibited within 20 metres of a breeding site and on a leash within a signed on-leash zone. Jetties are prohibited. This clock cannot see signs. The foreshore list is the 8 September 2015 resolution, still published in the council’s by-law compilation. The 16 July 2024 resolution did not revoke it.
