This status is only for Mordialloc Creek to the end of Bay Street. Each stretch below has its own status.
Part of Mordialloc foreshore is a 24-hour no-dog zone, from Mordialloc Creek to the end of Bay Street. Other Mordialloc sand follows the on/off-leash times.

Dogs are not allowed on the foreshore reserve in the signed no-dog zone between Mordialloc Creek and the end of Bay Street, including the beach, car parks and vegetated areas, all year. Dogs are permitted on the Beach Road shared path.

Dogs are not allowed from the foreshore reserve in the designated ‘No Dog Zone’. This area is well signed between Mordialloc Creek and the end of Bay Street, to the off-street car park in Mordialloc.

Outside the no-dog zone, the map labels Mordialloc with the on/off-leash beaches.
On the summer map (1 November to 31 March) this on/off-leash sand is off leash from sunrise to 10am, closed to dogs from 10am to 7:30pm, and on leash from 7:30pm until sunrise. On the winter map (1 April to 31 October) it is on leash from 11am to 3pm and off leash at all other times. Sunrise is calculated for this pin and can be a minute or two off. Dogs must be on a leash on bike tracks and footpaths, including the foreshore path, and on a leash before they reach the off-leash sand.

- 11:00am–3:00pm: on a leash. Outside those times: off leash.
