The rules are written below.
Horderns Beach, Bundeena: off leash all day from 1 May to 31 August. From 1 September to 30 April, off leash on weekdays before 8:30am and after 4:30pm, on a leash 8:30am to 4:30pm, and no dogs on weekends or NSW public holidays.

From 1 September to 30 April, dogs are permitted off leash Monday to Friday before 8:30am and after 4:30pm, and on a leash Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Animals are prohibited on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. From 1 May to 31 August, dogs are allowed off leash 24 hours, 7 days a week. The same September-to-April hours are on the dog off-leash area page. That page’s May-to-August line says dogs are allowed off leash, and this beach page states the 24 hours. Public holidays follow the NSW Public Holidays Act 2010 and the extra Anzac Mondays published for 2026 and 2027. The August bank holiday is not treated as a public holiday. After 31 December 2027 the September-to-April status says check with council, because the extra days on the NSW list stop at 2027. May to August stays off leash all day. Check the signs at Brighton Street, Hordens Lane and Liverpool Street.
