This status is only for Douro Road to Scott Street. Each stretch below has its own status.
South Beach from Douro Road to Scott Street is off lead. From the southern boundary to Douro Road, including the playground, dogs are prohibited. The footpath beside the off-lead area is on a lead.

South Beach Reserve (North), from the prolongation of the southern boundary of Douro Road to the prolongation of the southern boundary of Scott Street, is a dog exercise area, which means off lead. Playgrounds are excluded. It is on a lead during an authorised event.
- All year
- All day: off leash. Outside those times: off leash.
An exercise area is on a lead while a Council authorised activity, function or sporting event, including team training, is being held. This clock cannot see events.
