Can dogs go on Middle Brighton Beach? In Bayside summer (1 November to 31 March) this sand is off leash before 10am and after 7:30pm, and closed from 10am to 7:30pm. Winter clock times are not published in text.

During summer, Council lists Middle Brighton Beach as dog-free from 10am to 7:30pm, and as off leash before 10am and after 7:30pm.

Summer times are taken from Bayside’s beach chooser page. A direct download of that page returned HTTP 403 on 27 October 2026, so the wording is from the council URL as indexed that day. From 1 April to 31 October, the 1 April 2026 notice says access changes and points to the walking map, without clock times. The 20 August 2025 statement publishes current winter times only for the named stretches of Ricketts Point, and records that Council is making no changes to those rules. A line in that statement about “consistency with other Bayside beaches” does not name those other beaches, so it is not applied here. Outside summer, beaches without a published winter clock still say check with council.
