Marion says it does not have by-laws limiting the times dogs may be exercised on its beaches. On beaches the dog must be under effective control, by command, close to the person, and in sight. The only beaches it names are Marino and Hallett Cove. Seacliff, Brighton and Glenelg are Holdfast Bay.
- All year
- All day: off leash. Outside those times: off leash.
On beaches, the dog must be under effective control, which is by command, the dog being in close proximity to the person and the person being able to see the dog at all times.
